Day 1: Arrival Ho Chi Minh City (Dinner at local restaurant)
Your private tour of Vietnam starts on arrival at Tan San Nhat (Saigon) Airport you are met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi tunnel – Tayninh (Breakfast at hotel)
After an early breakfast you’ll avoid the city heat to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. The tunnels contained hospitals, plus accommodation and schools, and were used as a military base for the Viet Cong in the American war. Afterwards, you'll continue to the head quarters of Cao Dai religious sect which is located in Tay Ninh. This religion was founded in 1923 and now numbers over 2 million members. It’s an unusual religion with eclectic mix of different saints from different religions, and has Victor Hugo and Charlie Chaplin as patron saints.

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh – Mekong Delta (Breakfast at hotel, lunch in My Tho garden)
On Day 3 of your exclusive Taste of Vietnam holiday you'll head out of the city for the Mekong Delta. You'll travel by road to My Tho province about 1:30 drive, arriving in My Tho, where you board a boat navigating around the small canals in the Mekong Delta, and you'll have the chance to observe the local lifestyles close-up. Pass through the lush green vegetation to an orchard you can observe various fascinating local industries. After feasting on a huge lunch followed with Elephant ear fish, seasonal fruits, return to Ho Chi Minh. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.
Day 4: Ho Chi Minh city tour – Danang Beach – Hoian (Breakfast at hotel)
Day 4 of your luxury vacation begins with breakfast in your hotel, followed by a guided tour of some of the most important attractions in Ho Chi Minh City, beginning with the Reunification Palace, which was the former residence of the Southern Vietnam President until the end of April 1975. Close to the palace are some striking French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Saigon Post Office. You'll also visit the Jade Emperor Pagoda, one of the best examples of Taoist temples in Vietnam, and the War Remnant Museum. Later you'll board a short flight to Da Nang where you'll be greeted and driven to Hoian, - originally a Cham seaport but influenced down centuries by a myriad of traders from various cultures.

Day 5: Hoian Tour – Hue (Breakfast at hotel)
The ancient architecture of Hoian is a fascinating combination of Vietnamese traditional buildings with Chinese and Japanese influence. There’s plenty to see in this delightful town, some of which are the famous Japanese Covered Bridges, Pottery Museum, 200 year old Tan Ky House, Chua Ong Pagoda and vibrant market. Today we include these on a walking tour past many low tiled houses scattered along the small streets and assembly halls, which reflect the town's multi-cultural past. A local restaurant for your own lunch would be an experience of the Vietnam holiday. Later, on the way to Hue, you stop at the Marble Mountains, the beautiful China Beach and the Cham Museum in Danang city and continue over the scenic Hai Van Pass to Hue, Vietnam's last imperial capital. This small and quiet city is widely known for its magnificent historic architecture, pagodas and royal tombs laid in many small villages and the surrounding hills. Overnight in Hue.
Day 6: Hue Tour (Breakfast at hotel)
Your luxury Taste of Vietnam vacation continues on day 6 with a full exploration of Hue starting with a boat cruise upstream on the Perfume River which will give you a taste of the scenic countryside as well as an enjoyable visit to the beautiful pagoda of Thien Mu. You continue on to the Emperor Minh Mang’s mausoleum, in a tranquil setting of gardens and lakes. The next stop of your trip is the elaborate royal tomb of Emperor Tu Duc and the famous Tu Hieu pagoda. Later, back in the city you can choose from numerous excellent restaurants and enjoy local delicacies. In the afternoon we continue to the massive citadel of Hue containing The Royal Residence, Imperial City and the Purple Forbidden City which was destroyed during the 1968 Tet Offensive. However it is still fascinating to walk among the ruins and to imagine what it was once like

Day 7: Hue – Hanoi – Halong bay (Breakfast at hotel, Dinner at local restaurant)
There is some time free for our own to explore the town before boarding for an hour flight to Hanoi. Arriving at Noi Bai airport, you'll be greeted and driven 3:30hrs to World Heritage site Halong Bay, truly one of Vietnam’s most scenic and impressive sites of outstanding natural beauty. Day 8: Halong Bay – Hanoi (Breakfast at hotel, lunch on board)
After breakfast you'll be taken to the habour and board a junk for a four-hour cruise around Ha Long Bay, made world famous by James Bond in Tomorrow Never Dies. You'll have the great opportunity to explore the picturesque scenery and some 3,000 limestone islands rising vertically from the emerald water. The extraordinary limestone kart formations are full of hidden beaches, grottoes and beautiful caves. Along the way you'll anchor for a leisurely swim in a secluded cove and an enjoyable visit to one of the many hidden grottoes beneath the towering cliffs. After a seafood lunch on board, disembark and return to Hanoi, stopping en route at Dong Trieu pottery village. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 9: Hanoi city tour (Breakfast at hotel, lunch at local restaurant)
Day 9 of your Taste of Vietnam Tour starts with breakfast, followed by a full day city tour starting with the Ho Chi Minh Complex, containing the mausoleum of the nation’s founder Ho Chi Minh, the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts. Close to this site is the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origin dates back to the foundation of Hanoi a thousand years ago. Your tour of Hanoi continues with a trip to the remarkable Temple of Literature, well known as Vietnam’s first university. After lunch, you’ll enjoy the always impressive Ethnology Museum dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups. You'll then continue to the peaceful lake of Hoan Kiem. In front of this lake is the famous Water Puppet Theatre where you'll see a fantastic performance. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 10: Hanoi Departure (Breakfast at hotel)
After breakfast you are free to relax until your transfer to Noi Bai airport for your departure flight. Trip ends at Noi Bai airport
