The beach stretches 15 km of white sand and blue sea.
- Pathein - capital city of the delta region and the gateway to Ngwe Saung beach is the port city easily reached by road or by cruise through the complex Ayeyarwady river. Pathein, situated in the Ayeyarwady Delta about 190 km west of Yangon is well known by it production of unique parasol locally called "Pathein Hti". There is an elephant camp between Pathein and Ngwe Saung beach, which gives you an excellent opportunity to observe these mighty beasts as closed as their nature.
Ngwe Saung Beach
- The Delta region covers an area of 1000 square miles of waterways and wetlands and is one of the most complex river systems on the planet. There are seven main channels flowing down from the Ayeyarwady valley and from these several thousand creeks and lesser channels. The two main ports are Yangon, the present day capital, and Pathein, centre for the paddy producers in this area once known as the 'rice basket of Asia'.
