Day 1: Beijing
Your local guide will pick you up at the airport upon your arrival in Beijing and take you to your hotel.
Day 2: Beijing (B/L)
Visit the Temple of Heaven early in the morning, as it is the most peaceful time of the day and the best way to enjoy your visit. Built in 1420 AD during the Ming Dynasty, it is regarded as the most beautiful and elegant ancient Chinese construction complex. You might be surprised by the number of people there performing their morning exercises, from an elder person practicing Taiji to the group learning the ancient martial art of sword-fighting.
Then, visit Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest public square and overview the communist influences. You’ll tour the grounds and discover the halls and monuments. From there, you will walk to the Forbidden City, also known as the Imperial Palace Museum. With over 180 acres and a collection of great halls, you will see antiques and treasures representing all of China’s history.
In the afternoon, visit the Summer Palace, surrounded by one of Beijing’s finest and best-preserved parks. You’ll explore the grounds, the temples and the world’s longest art gallery.
Day 3: Beijing (B/L)
One-day tour guide to visit and climb the Great Wall and discover the Ming Tombs
Day 4: Beijing (B/L)
In the morning, visit the Olympic stadiums (“Bird’s nest” and “Water cube”).
In the afternoon, visit the Beijing Capital Museum.
