The road & landscapes
The road from Hanoi to Lao cai is good after Dec, 2014 with a new highway where you can go a max speed of 100km per hours with every 50km there is a fuel stop with fast food. Trip take about 4hrs drive
From Lao Cai border you can buy some personal things or go supermarket with many products from China. We can access to Sapa, continue to Dien Bien Phu and explore entire North West of Vietnam. Lunch in Lao Cai is very good and variety along Red river An Duong Vuong street may be Bo Luc Lac is good, we had !
Lao Cai – Y Ti 80km drive on uphill road which limit your speed and take about 3 hours to reach Y Ti. After 32km to A Mu Sung where you start to enjoy the beautiful of rice fields, you should not missed out highlight at A Lu, Ngai Thau, Ngai Thau Thuong
Accommodation
Stay in Y Ti very simple for adventure and experience travel there are 2 home stays here to with share floor or private but very basic (require to prepare sleeping bags for more convenient). During a long trip you should take medical bath from tribe people here and fresh up in limit hot water shower. Contact Mrs Si or Ms My houses to stay and book meals, there are few small restaurant near by good is Yen The restaurant.
Dinner or lunch reserve in advance advised.
Next day you can continue explore rice terrace fields before return to Hanoi or going to Muong Hum Sunday market about 32km and drive toward Sapa or North West of Vietnam
