Climate in Vietnam

The north from Hanoi to Hue: Winter lasts from November to April with temperatures averaging from 16 to 26 degrees Celsius with little rainfall. Summer begins in May and lasts until October with temperatures up to 38 degrees Celsius, with possible heavy rainfall and an occasional typhoon from May to the middle of September.

The South, from Danang to Ho Chi Minh (Saigon): Temperatures are fairly consistent throughout the year; 30 -35 degree Celsius. The season is determined by the rain. The dry season runs from November to April and the wet season from May to October. Typhoons are common in the coastal areas between September to November.

The Highlands (mountain range): In the hill resorts of the Mekong Delta, Buon Ma Thuot, and Sapa, the nights are cool throughout the year, with the winter months being from October to March where it can be chilly with temperatures falling to 4 degrees Celsius.
