Vietnam Discovery

After breakfast you will take an in-depth tour of the most interesting sites in Hanoi. The tour includes the visits to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum - Ba Dinh Square – The old residence of Ho Chi Minh – One Pillar Pagoda – Ethnological Museum – time for a rest and lunch at an authentic restaurant (at your own expenses) – Temple of Literature – Ngoc Son Temple. Afterwards you will take an in-depth walking tour of Hanoi Old Quarter for an overview of the local life and businesses before your return to the hotel. The rest of the day is yours.

Today you will take a 5 hour drive toward Sapa, including some short breaks for coffee or toilets. Upon arrival - check in the hotel for refreshments – time for a rest, food and drinks (at your own expenses) – transfer to Muong Hoa Valley – hike along a scenic trail to Lao Chai and Ta Van villages. During your hike you will come across Black Hmong, Red Dzao and Dzay people - pay short visits to local schools and local families – board your transfer and return to the hotel. The rest of the day is yours.

After breakfast – transfer by car to the cable car station for a short cable ride and then take a walk to the top of the Fanxipang Mountain for a breathtaking view of the whole area – return to the car and transfer to Sapa town – time for a rest, food and drinks (at your own expenses) - transfer by road back to Hanoi. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.

You will take a 4 hour drive on a countryside road through the paddy fields to Ha Long Bay, one of New Seven Natural Wonders. Upon arrival at the harbor, you will board a traditional boat – set sail through the limestone islands – have a nice seafood lunch – take a sampan ride to visit a traditional fishing village – attend a short cooking class - time to settle down on the upper deck for some drinks whilst watching the sunset – enjoy a delicious dinner. The rest of the day is your leisure. Why not play cards, try your luck at fishing, watch movies or simply enjoy some drinks and chat with your friends at the bar on board.

Up early – top deck – Tai Chi - enjoy your light breakfast – disembark for an easy exploration of the cave close by – return to your boat - check out your cabins – enjoy a nice brunch while sailing back to land – transfer to Ninh Binh – time for a short break and food or drinks (at your own expenses) along the way – visit Keo pagoda in Thai Binh – onward travel to Ninh Binh. Upon arrival, check in the hotel. The rest of the day is yours.

After breakfast you will take an in-depth tour of the most interesting sites in Ninh Binh. Today’s experiences include: Dinh & Le Temples – a sampan ride amongst the scenic Trang An – a short easy cycling tour on the quiet countryside road – Bai Dinh pagoda – a short climbing to the top of the mountain for the photographic opportunities - . Afterwards transfer to the railway station for the night train to Dong Hoi.

Upon arrival in Dong Hoi, you will be met & privately transferred to Phong Nha - Ke Bang national park. Upon arrival, your day will go as follows: breakfast – time for rest – take a short (30 minutes) boat ride towards Phong Nha cave – spend your time wandering (1,5km = 1 hour) inside the cave. Afterwards transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is yours.

Up early – breakfast – transfer by car to Paradise Cave – take a short electric car ride to the cave (2km) – take a short walk (700 steps = 30 minutes) – spend your time enjoying the marvels inside ( 1 hour) – onward travel to Dark Cave (15 minutes) – lunch – take a zip line (3 minutes) or kayak (5 minutes) – wander inside the cave (in & out: 1,5km = 2 hours) – you may like to enjoy some water sports – return to the hotel. The rest of the day is yours. You may like to wander or cycle around the villages for an overview of the local life.

Today you will depart for Hue city along the coastline road. On the way, you will: pass through the former DMZ – the Hien Luong Bridge – the Vinh Moc tunnel - Dong Ha town - the Quang Tri citadel - onward travel to Hue. Upon arrival, check in the hotel for refreshments. The rest of the day is at your leisure

After breakfast you will take an in-depth tour of this historical city. Today’s experiences include: Cau Ngoi Village – the countryside market - The Hue Old Citadel, which contains the Imperial City and the Purple Forbidden City – a leisurely boat trip on Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda – transfer by road to visit Minh Mang Tomb – return to the hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure

Breakfast – transfer by road along the coastal road toward Hoi An ancient town - head up the Hai Van with a stop at the top of the Pass to explore old French bunkers and take in a parting view of Da Nang and the bay – onward travel downhill and then stop at Nam O Bridge & Red Beach II (where the US Marines made their famous amphibious landing 1965) – time for rest and drinks ( at your own expenses) – visit Cham Sculpture Museum – proceed to Hoi An ancient town with a visit to Marble Mountain – check in the hotel. The rest of the day is yours.

Breakfast – pick up from the hotel and take an in-depth walking tour of the most interesting sites in Hoi An, which include the Japanese Covered Bridge, Chinese Assembly Halls, Tan Ky Ancient House, and The vibrant market – time for rest and drinks or food (at your own expenses)- Board a traditional boat for a leisurely ride along Thu Bon River – stop off at Thanh Ha Ceramic village – wander around to learn about this craft village – return to the boat and proceed to Kim Bong Carpentry village – leave your boat and stroll around for an insight into this furniture making village – float along the river towards Cua Dai for a fantastic view at sunset before transfer back to your hotel.

Today you are free. You may like to wander around this ancient townthe town’s cobbled streets and art galleries, or hire a bike and cycle through rice paddies out to Cua Dai Beach. Shop for paintings, ceramics and colourful cloth lanterns in the town’s markets and preserved Chinese shop houses. Perhaps visit one of the hundreds of tailors in the city to get something special made. Hoi An is also known for its delicious regional food, so be sure to enjoy a meal at a riverside restaurant.

There will be some more free time for you to relax until your late afternoon flight to Saigon. Upon your arrival in Saigon, you will be met and transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is yours.

After breakfast you will take an in-depth tour of the most interesting sites in Saigon City. Today’s experiences include: Cu Chi Tunnels – return to Saigon – time for breaks and food or drinks (at your own expenses) – The War Remnant Museum – Reunification Hall – Notre Dame Cathedral and The Central Post office nearby – Ben Thanh Market - time for your shopping and exploration. Afterwards return to the hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure

Today you will take a drive on the countryside road towards Ben Tre. Upon arrival, you will: visit a brick factory – board a traditional style boat for a scenic cruise along the Mekong River – make some stops at local houses along the way – hope on bikes for a leisurely ride through the countryside – lunch in a traditional Mekong village restaurant - board a motorboat to explore more of the Mekong Delta. Afterwards return to the car for your transfer to Cai Be. The rest of the day is yours!
